New Transfer Products, MINISLIDE and EASYSLIDE, Use Innovative Material for Reduction of Skin Shear.

SCAN Medical introduces MINISLIDE and EASYSLIDE. These new manual transfer devices are the first sliding mats using the unique Ultra Low Friction (ULF) fabric. This fabric enables a user to comfortably slide and/or change position in bed or move from one surface to another (such as from bed to bed or bed to wheelchair). The design and construction of these slide mats helps both users and caregivers to slide, turn or transfer smoothly, while reducing risk of back and muscle strain and user skin shear.
MINISLIDE is a 20" x 24" sliding mat with an outside protective cover of polyurethane coated nylon. The inside blanket is made of cotton, filled with flame retardant padding and coated with the special ULF fabric on the inner surface. This easy to use slide and transfer device may be used by a person without assistance or with assistance of a caregiver. MINISLIDE is light, portable, machine washable or autoclavable and retails for under $100.
EASYSLIDE is a 75" x 24" slide mat for full bed length use.
